My name is Blanca Gabriela Vega. I was born and raised in Southern California. I have spent 24 years in the classroom (grades Pre-k-1st). I earned my B.A. in Human Development and Minor in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College. After my first year in first grade, I fell in love with everything about it…the curriculum, the content, the creativity, and most of all, the kids.  

When I’m not in the classroom, I’m busy being a mom to my 4th grader who pretty much keeps me laughing non-stop! He is my greatest blessing and has completely changed who I am as an educator and person in general.

   As a teacher, I am always trying to encourage students to be in charge of their own learning. I want them to be proud of their accomplishments and confident in their abilities.  Kindness and caring is an important part of my classroom. I want kids to feel valued and respected by their peers.  My motto in the classroom is to always try your best in whatever you do!
