WHAT IS FIRST LEGO LEAGUE?
Core Values: The FIRST® LEGO® League Core Values are the cornerstones of the FLL program. They are among the fundamental elements that distinguish FLL from other programs of its kind. By embracing the Core Values, participants learn that friendly competition and mutual gain are not separate goals, and that helping one another is the foundation of teamwork.

Robot Game
In the Robot Game, teams design, build, program, and test autonomous robots using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology. The robots are designed and programmed by team members to perform a series of tasks, or missions, during 2½ minute matches on a playing field which reflects the real-world theme for this season.
In the Project, teams research a real-world problem in the field of this season’s Challenge theme. Then they create an innovative solution to that problem (either by creating something that doesn’t exist or building upon something that does). And finally, teams share their findings with others.

Mission
FLL's mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
