ABOUT THE LENDING LIBRARY
Welcome to the Tulita Lending Library webpage! Senior Girl Scout Troop Member and former Tulita student, Joy Uehara chose this service project for our Tulita community as a part of her journey towards her Silver Award Project. "I did this because it helps with the gold award which is good for applying to college and because it was for Tulita. I had two projects to chose from and I chose Tulita because it was my elementary school. When I was in the summer of 6th grade I really really didn't want to leave Tulita!", says Joy.
We thank Joy and her family for their support and development of this very special project. Joy decided to donate a “lending library” that is open to both the students of Tulita Elementary School and the surrounding community. This library allows children easy access to a constantly changing variety of books for free. Furthermore, books that children no longer read can be donated for the benefit of their classmates and neighbors. So, please stop by and take a book and/or leave a book! We hope you use the Tulita community library often and enjoy it!
