Hello Room 7 Families,

I'm excited to be your child's first grade teacher. We are going to have a wonderful year of learning together! My philosophy of teaching is simple. I want children to LOVE learning! If I can instill this in my students, I am hopeful it will fuel their desire in becoming lifelong learners. Children have a natural love of learning, but learning in their own way. Some children love to read books, some love to write, some love to actively engage with hand-on manipulatives, and some like to listen rather than read. All of these ways are paths to expressing a love of learning.
