Principal's Message

Greetings, Tidalwaves!

Welcome, Tidalwave students and families!  It is a privilege to be a part of the Tulita community as principal.  I was fortunate to student teach at Tulita so the school has a special place in my heart as one of the schools where my career in education began and I am very excited to be here for my second year as principal!

The teachers, staff, and I are dedicated to making sure that each of our students has an enjoyable, rewarding, and successful school year and we hope that you will make a family commitment to join our school success team!  There are several ways families can support school success.  Please help your child:

Be ready to learn

Encourage your children to get a good night of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and come to school prepared with completed assignments and a positive attitude.

Value education

Take time to have family conversations about learning.  Ask what children are learning at school, what they have enjoyed each day, and what they are curious about.  Engage in fun learning activities together that relate to your child’s interests.

Connect with the school community

Please use the Tulita agenda books so you and your children can stay informed about classroom assignments, school events, and PTA programs.  Get to know your child’s teacher and maintain ongoing communication and join us whenever you can for volunteer opportunities and fun family programs.

It is our mission at Tulita to make sure all of us are working together to ensure success for every student!  Please feel free to call me at 310-798-8628 or email me at dallphin@rbusd.org if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or compliments about your family’s experience at Tulita.  I look forward to a great year!

Sincerely,

Danielle Allphin, Principal
